Why do I do this to myself?

lyl_devilI had a plan. I really, *really* did.

whichwillow , write it, get it beta-ed and all before it's due.
Currently? Not so much following the plan.
I had it all written out, but then realized that it was going WAY into Willow/OC, and I couldn't for the life of me make it into the pairing I'm suppose to. That's not so much of a problem, except it was looking to be loooong, and quite frankly, I wasn't all that interested in the story line. And if I couldn't make myself interested in the fic.....you get the idea.
So...I keep the underlying idea and trash the rest, and spend the drive back to Ottawa yesterday planning out a new story (at least it was a productive 10 hour drive, especially once all the other plot bunnies stopped interferring).
And...I've actually started writing. But it's been so long since I've really written an in-depth Willow (and other characters), that I'm finding it hard.
Plus, I have no beta for the Buffy-verse. I have some for SGA/SG-1, and maybe for NCIS (if I ask nicely enough), but no Buffy-verse.
So, word count: 1639
Estimated at completion: who the hell knows....
But, at least I'm writing after about 3 weeks of slacking off. Hope I'm done in time.... :)

Date: 2006-10-13 03:38 am (UTC)::sigh:: That's the same problem I was having. I can't find anything interesting to do with what I have, and it's really starting to bug me.
I'm glad that you've been able to get some writing done, though. That's great. And if you can't find a beta, I'd be happy to take a look at it. I'm mostly a grammar/spelling type of beta, but most often times that's all someone needs.
