Why Canadian-made shows are cool.
May. 22nd, 2007 10:07 pmI'm watching this new show called 'The Best Years' on Global. It's about a girl named Samantha Best who gets a scholarship to University....not totally original, but I'm witholding judgement for now. It's a Canadian-made show - which means it'll be either crap or cancelled in a few months.
The point of this post, is that as I'm watching the first few minutes of her arrival on campus, I'm noticing a few familiar buildings. I check online, and yes....that is Johnston Hall, McDonald Hall and Johnston Green.
They filmed a lot of the outside shots at my old school, the University of Guelph.
How awesome is that? (But it pulls me right out of the show.)
Sorry, just had to share. *g*
