Yeah, but Oz had left by the time a chipped Spike had escaped, which is why we get the funny impotence scene between Spike and Willow in her dorm room. There's a little inconsistency with Willows emotions in that part of the season. She seems fine, then suddenly she's all cast-y with the Will be Done spell.
But now I'm terribly curious about the fic you're writing, so I'll keep an eye open!

It's actually just a passing reference in one of the next parts on my tth100 table - I'm writing Willow/NCIS. Basically, there's a passing comparison between Tony getting the plague and Xander getting syphillis.
