Looking for beta and other stuff

One - does anyone have time to do a quick beta on a 3000 word Dark Angel story? It's Gen, for the most part.

Two - I finally broke down and signed up for a BigBang. That's right, I've signed up for buffy_bigbang. I have a plot bunny that's been pestering me since mid-October, and I told myself I'd start writing it in the new year when my school stuff isn't so heavy. The timing for buffy_bigbang works, especially as I can already tell it's going to be long.

I'd be happy to beta for you, but I've never watched Dark Angel. If you just need someone to check spelling and grammar though I'd be happy to help.

Sadly, I'll be writing a Willow gen story. Though, if I lose the focus of the story, I'll fall back on my Willow/Spike AU that's at around 6000-7000 words.

The DA fic won't make any sense unless you have some idea of the show. I could try and give you a primer for the show, but I don't know how well that would work since it's set post-series and builds on canon.

Well, that'll still be a good read. Your writing is always enjoyable. And if you lose focus and have to go to the Willow/Spike AU, then I'll be cheering you on *grin*.

I'm over 2k words now for my BB story and I just started this week. Hopefully I'll be able to keep on track with it.

Yeah, it doesn't sound like I'm a good match to beta the DA story. If you get desperate you can send me the primer, but if you find someone who's actually familiar with the show they would probably do a better job.

I may just wait a day or so, and edit the story myself. I just need some time away from it.

And hey - congrats on actually starting your BB story. All I have are ideas scratched down on post-it notes and my kitchen whiteboard. But I'm giving myself time to write over Christmas, seeing as I'll be at my parents for a week and a half.
