...otherwise known as 'My TV-Boyfriends'!!

Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] strangevisitor7 cause I apparently have nothing better to do.

List ten fictional characters you would have sex with (in no particular order) and tag 5 people to do the same. (I won't tag anyone, cause I wasn't tagged and I apparently suck at this whole 'tagging' thing, as proven by the last tagging meme I did.)

So pay attention as I drag you all down the road called 'TV shows you've never heard of - and one or two you have!'.

1) Methos - Highlander
Do I really need to explain this one? The sarcasm is legendary - a proven lure for my fangirl heart.

2) Ezra Standish - Magnificent Seven
Gotta love a gamblin' con man, though the rest of the Seven are high on my list.

3) Alec/494 - Dark Angel
I love Dean (SPN), but only because he was Alec first. No amount of gun toting ghost hunting beats genetically engineered super soldiers. Especially ones who like to cage fight shirtless!!!

4) Jarod - The Pretender
Come on! Non-violent superhero, but without the super powers (sort of). Jarod/Ms Parker was my very first OTP!!

5) Lex Luthor - Smallville
This is the Lex from the first few years, where you could delude yourself that he wasn't quite so evil. He had that edge of darkness that was captivating, and made you think everything he was doing was for the good of the people - then the show went to crap and I couldn't take whiny Clark anymore, so stopped watching. (Don't get me started on *why* I can't watch it anymore...seriously.)

6) Victor Mansfield - Once A Theif
One of my very first TV boyfriends - yes, from before my fannish life ever began. He's a good cop who got framed, and now he's a SPY!! What more do you need?? (I will watch anything this actor is in, no matter how horrendous the script.)

7) Don Eppes - Numb3rs
He's hot. Nuff said.

8) Malcolm Reynolds - Firefly/Serenity
I love a good anti-hero, especially one who wears tight pants and a gun-belt. :D

9) Leroy Jethro Gibbs - NCIS
Really, if this comes as a shock to anyone on my list, you obviously haven't been reading Connections.

10) The Doctor (9) - Doctor Who
He was angst and danger in black jeans and a leather jacket. Ten is bouncy and fun, but I prefer the tall, dark and tortured.

Just for added value....the runner-ups: Dean Winchester (SPN), Chris Larabee (M7), Vin Tanner (M7), Mac Ramsey (OaT), John Sheppard (SGA), Cameron Mitchell (SG-1), Alex Krychek (XF), Spike (BtVS), John Critchon (Farscape), Sark (Alias)....I could go on, but I need to work in the morning. :D

I must pant in agreement at #4. Jarod/Miss Parker was my first OTP too. I was reading Pretender fanfic long before I discovered the Buffy fandom. I should really go look those stories up again one of these days.

I also must second #s 1, 8 & 10. (I prefer Charlie of the Eppes brothers though, sorry.)

YES!! Jarod and Miss Parker were so Meant. To. Be!!

I've been a fan of Don since the first time I saw him all done up in tactical gear (I apparently like them armed and dangerous). So, you can have Charlie and I'll take Don - see? No problems! :D

I think it's funny that we like many of the same shows but different characters (except of course for a united love of Ezra and Mal)

I like Tony you like Gibbs.
I prefer Charlie over Don.
Richie vs. Methos
10 over 9
Dean over Alec? But I do love Alec in fact I only have season 2 - IMHO DA sucked until Jensen showed up.

i could have gone to 20 easy.

See? We can share and there won't be any fights!!! :D

And DA is another show you don't want to get me started on (the whole 'woe is me' thing Max had going drove me up the wall, especially in season 2). But Alec made it all worth while.

If you line up pictures of all the guys (minus Gibbs) you'll see what my type is. Which explains why I like Don over Charlie, 9 over 10 and Methos over Richie. :)

I totally agree about Max - When i rewatch episodes, I skip right through her crap. And while i love Tony DiNozzo - Logan was just annoying.

I used to think I had a type but it really varies widely. Though Beards and Long hair are always a plus. (Which explains Charlie because I do not think David Krumholtz is remotely attractive at all without the hair).

The long hair is why I started out liking Vin on M7; he had that look but seriously - how does anyone resist Ezra - guess it's that bad boy aura.

Never been a big fan of the chisled pretty boy which is why even though I adore the character of Spike - he's just a little too pretty for me. And sometimes Jayne beats Mal on my list - depends on my mood when I make the list.

I could talk about these guys all day - it is nice to share

Bad boys with guns!!! (Or swords!!)

I didn't think I had a type either, but then one day I looked at all the tv characters/actors that I liked, and it became scarily apparent. Though what makes the difference between my fav characters and 'other' characters, was how deadly/dangerous they are.

Also, how good they look in a thigh holster. (Hence, Jayne and Mal have been toss ups for quite a while.) This is also why I love Don - tac vest and thigh holster = yum!

Spike I love for the attitude, if nothing else. Which I why whenever I write Angel, it's as Angelus (cause Angel is too whiny/angsty for my taste).

I think if I do have a type it's the snarky morally ambiguous/dangerous guy who will ultimately do the right thing. Still there are exceptions.

I think that's why Sam Winchester doesn't do it for me even though he has the great hair - he's just too nice

The Western dress is just a plus! a gun, a cowboy hat and the duster and I'm a puddle. Which is why this is one of my all time favorite SG-1 photos

I have to admit I do like Don but i never liked Rob Morrow on Northern Exposure which maybe why i can't totally commit to Don.

I came home today and Pet Cemetery was on - Dale Midkiff just looks wrong without the mustache.*hee*

Okay, I'm giving you extra credit for Jarrod and Sark, because they're hot, but not someone you'd automatically think of. But where's captain Jack? Either of them? But especially the Torchwood one!

Because despite my love of Jack, he doesn't fill that 'bad boy' kink I have. (First season DW-Jack would be preferable to season 2 TW-Jack.) Also, Ianto would be higher on my list than Jack.

Jack is also a little too pretty for my taste. He's fun to watch/read/write, but my fangirl heart belongs to those of the thigh holsters and tac vests - mostly. I also like hidden weapons and cunning plans (ie. Jarod & Sark).

Besides, the last few eps of TW have annoyed me, but that's another rant altogether.

I re-watch that SG-1 episode simply for the leather pants. And the two of them trying to be bad-guys. (Hence my writing of the Vala Chronicles. :D)

Speaking of Dale Midkiff...I should d/l Time Trax sometime and relive the fun.

LMAO! See, Ianto does nothing for me. But Jack....despite his good-guy person there's just something so tempting about him (to me, at least).

Usually I'm all for the bag guy who may (or may not) be redeemable. I also have a thing for snark (hence my love of Spike). Any guy who is sarcastic and can make me laugh is very sexy to me.

As for the last couple of eps of TW, I've been downloading them early because I can't bear to wait, and I'd say somethings but I'm afraid I'd accidentally spoil someone.

I've looked for torrents, but they're hard to find. Google 'time trax torrent' and some should pop up.

But Ianto is snarky!!! Especially this season.

TW: By 'early' do you mean 'early for BBC America' or 'leaked episodes-early'?

LOL, not Spike-snarky. He's just kind of there. I don't know...something about him seems so bland to me.

By early, I mean when they're airing in the UK, I guess.

I just downloaded the next one and am halfway through watching it. Interesting. These guys do creepy amazingly well. And they understand that you don't have to have special effects or big budgets to make things scary, which Americans just can't understand.

Exactly. The also understand that not every thing needs to be explained in scifi - DW seems to gloss over a lot of the technical aspects, yet it doesn't detract from the show.
