God, I feel your pain. They're only 11 seats away now, when I just got home to see the news.

Oh! 12!! At least for now!

I'm mildly impressed with the fact that the Greens have 0 seats, despite almost 7% of the popular vote. (Though I'm convinced most of that is from the university ridings.)

(Totally beside the point now, but I'm catching up on comments and I'm a completist. *g*)

The problem with the Greens is that their vote is too distributed. I don't know that they'll ever have enough concentration in a single riding to win it.

Elizabeth May really made a tactical error in this election, imho. If she wanted to have a Green in parliament, she should have chosen a riding with much weaker competition for herself and then spent as much time as possible knocking on doors there. There was no reason for her to be campaigning across the country. That was silly.
