I like how you create a society for the transgenics in this fic, one that they had in Manticore but is now shifting to fit the new situation. I appreciated Max remaining alienated from it; it gives a nice counterbalance to the show, which privileged Max and seems to have assumed that Max's underlying assumption that the transgenics ought to change themselves to fit the world instead of meeting somewhere in the middle.

The image of Alec with little Ali is, of course, adorable, although the circumstances are rather dire. Finally, Gem and Mel are both pretty awesome in this.
